Kallie is a homeschooling mother of three with one child with dyslexia. After trying every curriculum/method under the sun Kallie discovered the Barton Reading & Spelling system and quickly understood why it's considered the number 1, tried and true method for teaching children with dyslexia to read. It helped her son learn to read and spell in a way that made sense to him. Since that time she became a Certified Barton Tutor so she could offer this service to her rural community. Kallie holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling and spent 2 years teaching in West Africa with the Peace Corps and another 3 years teaching English to children in China. When not teaching Kallie enjoys roadschooling, gardening, and adventuring with her family in the great outdoors of North Florida.
